Croissant DELUXE 🥐

Today we have a Ham & Egg Croissant recipe that will catapult your taste buds to seventh heaven! You'll be licking your fingers afterwards! 😋

Ingredients for a hungry stomach:

  • 1 croissant (preferably from a baker you trust)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 3 boiled eggs
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp mayo (the Japanese one is the secret 🤫)
  • 2 pickled cucumbers + 20 ml cucumber water
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped chives
  • Salt pepper
  • ¼ iceberg lettuce, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato in slices
  • 100 g finely sliced ​​cooked ham
  • 2 slices of cucumber, cut lengthways
  • 1-2 tbsp Lusty Chili Jam

And so it goes:

  • Egg salad magic: Cut the boiled eggs into small cubes and mix them with mustard, mayo, cucumber water, pickles, chives, salt and pepper. Let the mixture steep briefly in the refrigerator so that the flavors can blend and meld.
  • Croissant preparation: Carefully cut the croissant open (not allowing it to crumble) and let it fry in a pan until golden brown.
  • Layers of joy: Starts with a layer of Lusty Chili Jäm, followed by iceberg lettuce and the brilliant egg salad, then the tomato slices and the finely sliced ​​cooked ham. As a finishing touch, place the cucumber slices on top and the other half of the croissant.
  • Serve in style: Present this work of art on a pretty plate and garnish it with a smile (and maybe another dollop of chili jam if you're feeling brave).
