Mac'n'Cheese à la J.Kinski

A recipe so easy to make you can almost do it blindfolded? This can actually only be macaroni and cheese, better known as “mac'n'cheese”. Time to pamper your taste buds with melted cheddar on durum wheat products - and luckily our recipe makes it child's play!

  • 500g macaroni
  • 60g butter
  • 40g flour
  • 525ml pasture beef bone broth
  • 200ml milk
  • 350g strong, spicy cheddar

And so it goes:

  • Bring water to the boil in a large pot and cook the pasta until al dente according to the package instructions. Then rinse the macaroni with cold water and drain well.
  • Grate the cheddar finely. Then melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Add the flour and mix everything with a whisk until a smooth mixture forms.
  • Fry the flour while stirring until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Add the broth and milk, stirring constantly so that no lumps form. Simmer the sauce while stirring for about 10 minutes until it has a creamy consistency.
  • Then remove the pot from the heat and mix in the cheese. When the cheese has melted, season the sauce with the chili powder.
  • Now mix the macaroni with the cheese sauce. Bon appetit!
