When the pleasant spiciness of chili, ginger and Szechuan pepper meets star anise, cardamom and cinnamon and is finally rounded off by the peanut crunch and hearty, nutty bite, it can only be our organic chili crunch! Crispy, spicy and delicious, it turns out to be a real all-rounder in a practical glass and is suitable for marinating meat, as a pesto or for seasoning various soups and desserts. Important application note:

The crunch contains a high proportion of high-quality oils in which the chilies are fried. The warm oils absorb the flavor of the spices wonderfully, which is why the oil is an important component of the final product.

It also makes the crunch easier to portion: the solid components settle to the bottom during storage because we don't use emulsifiers - these have no place in a natural food. Therefore, just before each use, simply stir the contents of the jar well to the bottom with a clean spoon so that all the ingredients are mixed together, and then add to the food as desired.

Another positive side effect: the oil also acts as a natural preservative. This means the contents of the opened jar last longer.

Shelf life of at least 12 months from delivery. Store dry and protected from light at room temperature. After opening, store in the refrigerator and use as soon as possible.

How can I use Chili Crunch?

In Asia it would be traditionally eaten with pasta like a kind of pesto. But honestly: we also like to marinate meat with it before it goes on the grill or in the pan. It is also ideal as a seasoning for ramen and other soups. A little experimentation and creativity opens all doors for the use of Chili Crunch. Let's crunch!

How do you make Chili Crunch?

The basis for our crunch is organic rapeseed oil and organic sesame oil. The slightly nutty oils contain a lot of omega fatty acids and go perfectly with the chopped peanuts, which give the crunch its special bite. Onions, garlic and other aromatic organic spices are stirred in the oil at a warm 70 degrees for 24 hours so that the essential oils can completely dissolve from the spices. The oil is then allowed to rest briefly and cool down until it is heated again to fry the chili. Only after this process do the remaining ingredients go into the crunch, stirring constantly to fully develop the flavor. After stirring and resting for two days, we pour the crunch into glasses by hand.
