Thai soup with coconut, vegetables and rice by @eatthisorg

Tom Yam – a classic of Thai cuisine with a sour and spicy seasoning, Tom means “soup”, yam roughly means “mixed”. We think it suits us well and with this Tom Yam base we have created a real feel-good recipe for you for cozy evenings on the couch. With a bit of wanderlust guaranteed, because Tom Yam brings you the Thailand feeling straight home.
But be careful, in this version the soup is very spicy. 🌶️

Zutaten:

  • Ingredients for the soup:
  • 500ml J.Kinski Tom Yam Reason
  • 500ml creamy coconut milk with fat
  • 150g rice
  • 200ml water
  • Red onion
  • Thumb sized piece of ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3 Thai chili peppers
  • 2 kaffir lime leaves
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp fish sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • Juice of one lime
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • Optional: lightly cooked chicken breast cut into pieces
  • Garnish: bunch of coriander, 100 g bean sprouts, chili oil to taste, 50 g peanuts (salted) and lime slices

And so it goes:

  • Finely chop the ginger, garlic and Thai chili peppers. If you like it less spicy, deseed the chilies first. Sweat everything together in coconut oil and deglaze with our Tom Yam base. Add the kaffir lime leaves and coconut milk and bring everything to a gentle boil.
  • Now season the soup with soy and fish sauce, as well as salt and lime juice. If the soup is still too creamy for you, you can dilute it with a little water.
  • At the same time, cook the basmati rice with a piece of ginger.
  • The soup is already ready. Pour the rice and bean sprouts into a bowl and pour in the broth. Garnish with salty peanuts, thinly sliced red onions and lots of coriander. If you like, add lightly cooked chicken, there are no limits to your taste.
  • Enjoy it. 😊 Inspired will love by @eatthisorg ✌️
